About the Bison
- Bucknell heads south this weekend for the Testudo Cup, hosted by the University of Maryland at the P.B. Dye Golf Club. This will be the team's first appearance at the event.
- The Bison last played at the famed Torrey Pines South Course at the UC San Diego Invitational on March 23-25. The 7800-yard seaside course is considered one of the most difficult tracks in the country, and it has hosted two U.S. Opens and an annual PGA Tour event. Bucknell improved each day, compiling rounds of 324-309-301 in a 19th-place finish.
- James Key's 1-over 73 in the final round was Bucknell's best score of the week. Key shot 82-75-73 and was the low Bison in T-54th. Â
- Freshman Jack Hartman leads the team with a 74.4 spring scoring average and a 74.0 mark for the full season. Hartman opened the spring with rounds of 72-69-66 at the Loyola Intercollegiate at Palm Valley GC in Arizona. He finished 6th at 9-under for the tournament. The 6-under 66 was tied for the second-best round in school history in relation to par.
- Hartman and fellow freshman Patrick Pritsios will be joined by Key, Michael Rudnick, and James Robbins in this weekend's lineup. Hayden Quinn will play as an individual. The Bison will be paired with FDU and Manhattan in the first round, starting on holes 11-14.
- Rudnick shot a 1-under 71 in round two in Arizona and has a 76.0 average this spring. Pritsios and Key are next at 76.8.
- The Bison will also play in Penn State's spring event – the Rutherford Intercollegiate -- Apr. 12-13 before hosting the 2025 Patriot League Championship Apr. 25-27.
