LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell men's golf team compiled a solid 285 team score in round two of the Patriot League Championship on Saturday at the Bucknell Golf Club. The Bison lost some ground, however, as three teams posted under-par scores, and Bucknell dropped two spots to fifth place heading into Sunday's final round.
Army fired a 4-under-par 276 and at 3-under for the tournament now holds a four-stroke lead over Holy Cross and Loyola. The Crusaders also shot 276 on Saturday to get back to 1-over. Navy fired a 1-under 279 to move up to fourth at 4-over through 36 holes. Bucknell is fifth at 8-over, followed by Colgate (+10), Lafayette (+14), and Lehigh (+24).
The Bison recorded three 71s and two 72s in round two. Jack Hartman, Patrick Pritsios, and Hayden Quinn all shot 71, and Michael Rudnick and James Robbins posted 72s. James Key's 76 was not needed in the championship's play-6, count-4 format.
