
Men's Track & Field to Participate in Three Competitions

LEWISBURG, Pa.-Â The Bucknell Bison men's track & field team will spend the final weekend before the Patriot League Outdoor Championships at three different and diverse competitions. Select throwers will attend the Penn Relays, several distance runners will travel Interstate 80 to Bloomsburg, and the rest of the squadron will visit soon-to-be Division III Saint Francis.Â

Last Time Out (Bucknell Team Challenge)
- Bucknell celebrated Senior Day by easily winning the Team Challenge. The Bison collected 322Â points and won ten events.
- The 4x100-meter relay team of Cooper Hyken, Garrett Backus, Luke Petryna, and Brandon Foust headlined the day with their sensational time of 40.92. The speed ranked them second in Bucknell history.
- CJ Simbiri picked up victory in the triple jump, leaping 47-8.50. His mark moved him into seventh all-time in Bucknell history.Â
- Wade Shomper, as usual, won the shot put, tossing 17.06m (55-11.75). Senior Braden Stryker was right on his tail, throwing 17.05m (55-11.25), improving upon his fourth-place standing in Bucknell history.
- Robert Lerner achieved triumph in the discus throw, throwing 49.81m (163-5), and moving into a tie for ninth place in Bucknell history. Â
- Carter Paul earned the win in the 1500-meter run, narrowly edging teammate Lucas Ward, for first by running 3:57.47. He squeezed Ward by 0.19 seconds.Â
- Ethan Pratt-Perez grabbed victory in the steeplechase, logging 9:26.41, showcasing another impressive result by the freshman runner.Â
- Ethan Knight unlocked the win in the 400-meter hurdles, running 53.91.Â
- Senior Colby Belczyk celebrated the day by winning the 1500-meter run. He ran 1:53.22.
- Senior James Riedinger grabbed victory in the javelin throw, tossing the weapon 56.64m (185-10).Â
- Jayson Harmer won the 5000-meter run by over a minute. The junior runner logged 15:19.02.Â
The Bison will travel to Worcester for the Patriot League Outdoor Championships on May 2-3.Â
