
Women's Track & Field Hosts Senior Day at the Bucknell Team Challenge

LEWISBURG, Pa.-Â The Bucknell Bison women's track & field team will celebrate Senior Day this Saturday at the Bucknell Team Challenge. The Orange & Blue will honor the careers of 16 student-athletes.Â

Senior Day is always a special day as 34 team members are competing at home for the last time."

Last Time Out (Bison Outdoor Classic)
- The Orange & Blue won two events at the annual Bison Outdoor Classic and unlocked numerous top-ten finishes.Â
- Evelyn Bliss shattered the West Fields facility javelin record for the second consecutive season. The All-American won the event, demolishing the competition by throwing 54.32m (178-2) and surpassing her 2024 facility breaking mark of 52.08m (170-10). 178-2 represents her best mark in collegiate competition.
- Alexandra Lea has been a bolt of lightning on the track, and the freshman continued her sizzling start. She easily won the 200-meter dash, logging 24.06. The time ranked second behind the indomitable Meghan Quinn on the Bucknell top-ten list. Lea now has five spots on Bucknell's top-ten lists.
- Elizabeth Bryant claimed sole possession of sixth-place in Bucknell history for the pole vault. The junior vaulter cleared 12-2 to earn second place in the pole vault invite. Â
- Bucknell experienced success in the shot put. Senior Christine Ajao moved up the list to fourth with her 14.40m (47-3) throw. The mark finished the captain fifth in the event. Rookie Madison Fowler continued her sensational yearling campaign, tossing 13.86m (45-5.75), for ninth place. The placement ranked ninth in Bucknell history. Â
- Anna Posh made history in the 400-meter dash. The senior runner finished sixth, running 56.29. The time ranked tenth in Bucknell history.
- Freshman Kerry O'Day held her own in the 5000-meter run invite, finishing 22nd against a packed crowd. The rookie ran 16:55.53, which slotted her ninth all-time in Bucknell history.Â
