
Women's Tennis Drops Match to Army 4-0

West Point, N.Y. - Bucknell women's tennis fell 4-0 to Army on Sunday morning and moved to 9-10 overall and 2-4 in the Patriot League this season.Â
Army came out of the gates swinging taking decisive 6-0 and 6-2 doubles wins on Court 2 and Court 3 to secure the doubles point. The final doubles match on Court 1 between Whitney King and Abby Platt and Paige Herremans and Cooper Jackson went unfinished with a 5-5 score.Â
The Mules then rolled into singles play by earning wins on Court 2 6-2, 6-2, Court 5 6-0, 6-0 and Court 6 6-2, 6-0 to secure a 4-0 victory over the Bison. The match on Court 1 between W. King and Jackson went unfinished with King winning the first set 6-4. The matches on Court 3 and Court 4 both went unfinished with Army winning the first set of each.Â
Bucknell will return to the courts on Saturday, April 19 as they head to Easton, Pa. to take on Lafayette in their last match before the Patriot League Championships.
