LEWISBURG, Pa.- Despite the dreary and rainy weather that engulfed central Pennsylvania on Saturday, Bucknell women's track & field shook off the liquid to record several notable results.Â
Bucknell welcomed dozens of athletes and clubs to Lewisburg in one of the biggest Bison Outdoor Classics ever. The team held an alumni reception as numerous student-athletes returned to celebrate their time with the Orange & Blue.Â
Donner's Debriefing
"We had quite a few outdoor personal records highlighted by the shot putters with Ajao and Fowler cracking into our all-time top 10. Freshman Kerry O'Day ran like a veteran today and just flowed with the pack to break the 17-minute barrier and make our all-time top 10 list in the 5000-meter run. I thought Sarah Policano was great was in the 1500-meter run and we had some solid 10k runners in McLoughlin and Segreti. The weather looks great for day two and we are excited to keep the momentum going."
Results
The day started with two new all-time top ten marks in the shot put. Senior Christine Ajao moved up the list to fourth with her 14.40m (47-3) throw. The mark finished the captain fifth in the event. Rookie Madison Fowler continued her sensational yearling campaign, tossing 13.86m (45-5.75), for ninth place. The placement ranked ninth in Bucknell history.Â
Fowler posted another top ten finish in the discus throw. The rookie held her own, logging 42.18m (138-5), placing tenth.Â
Freshman Kerry O'Day held her own in the 5000-meter run invite, finishing 22nd against a packed crowd. The rookie ran 16:55.53, which slotted her ninth all-time in Bucknell history.Â

Regan McGrath notched 20th in the 800-meter run. The sophomore ran 2:12.71, missing entry into the Bison top ten list by less than a second.Â
