Three Bison Named to Men’s Indoor Track & Field Academic All-Patriot League Team

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell Bison men's track & field program placed three athletes, Preston Lubeski, Wade Shomper, and Braden Stryker, on the league's all-academic team as announced Tuesday by the league office.
Lubeski, a sophomore majoring in biology, logged a 4.00 semester GPA this past fall and holds an overall GPA of 3.86. Lubeski finished eighth in the 400-meter dash racing 50.04 at the 2024-25 Patriot League Indoor Track & Field Championships. He was the anchor on the 4x400-meter relay team that finished third (3:16.77) at the same competition. Their mark is seventh in Bucknell history.
Shomper, a junior majoring in International Relations & Economics, posted a 3.92 GPA in the fall and has a cumulative GPA of 3.77. He enjoyed a banner Indoor Championships winning silver in the shot put, throwing 17.38 meters (57-0.25). He set the Bucknell record for indoor shot put this season - 57-8.25.
Stryker, a senior majoring in Management & Organizations, posted a 4.00 GPA while studying in Spain during the fall session and sits at 3.71 overall. He finished fifth in the shot put, chucking 15.88 meters (52-1.25) at the Indoor Championships. He entered the Bucknell top ten in the indoor shot put during the 2024-25 season, throwing 54-2 tied for eighth all-time.
Bucknell men's track & field will start the outdoor season in two weeks at Shippensburg.
2025 Patriot League Men's Indoor Track and Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year

*Malleck earned First Team All-Patriot League honors by winning gold at the Patriot League Championship in the mile and 3,000m.
*His mile time of 3:58.11 established a Patriot League Indoor Track and Field record.
*Malleck carries a 3.93 GPA while pursuing his M.S. in Project Management.
