RESULTS

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell rowing team has been hard at work on the water in preparation for the 2025 spring season, which gets underway on Saturday at the Doc Hosea Invitational on the Cooper River in New Jersey.

This will be the first of five events leading up to the Patriot League Championships, which will be right back here on the Cooper River on May 16. After five straight top-three finishes in the Patriot League team standings, the Bison dipped to fifth with a very young squad in 2024. Bucknell has a more experienced roster this season with 22 returnees joined by a talented class of 10 first-year rowers, two of whom will row in the Varsity Eight on Saturday (Chinemere Njoku, Sadye Levensten). The Bison must replace both of last year's All-Patriot League honorees in Abby Gerst and Haley Beardsley, who stroked the Varsity Eight and Second Varsity Eight, respectively, as well as four-year 1V8+ coxswain Juliette Gaggini. Junior Hattie Hopper, who coxed the 2V8+ last season, moves up to the 1V8+ to start the season. Full lineups for Bucknell's four entries are listed below.
