
Women's Tennis Drops Match 6-1 Against Navy

Williamsport, Pa. – Riley Jennings earned the lone Bucknell point on Sunday afternoon at the Central PA Tennis Center as the Bison fell to Navy 6-1. Bucknell moved to 5-8 overall on the season and 0-2 in Patriot League play.
The match began with Whitney King and Abby Platt winning their doubles match over Emily Tannenbaum and Olivia Fermo 6-4 on Court 1. The Midshipmen then took both remaining doubles matches to secure the doubles point putting them ahead 1-0 heading into singles.
Jennings opened singles play with a Court 6 win over Olivia Fermo 6-1, 6-1 to tie the match at 1-1, but the Bison would drop the remaining five singles matches in a row to the Midshipmen giving them a 6-1 victory over Bucknell.
The Bison will stay at home for two more matches coming up next weekend as they take on Patriot League opponent Loyola on March 29 at 2 p.m. and Saint Joseph's on Sunday, March 30 at 12 p.m.
