
Women's Tennis Falls to Saint Francis 4-3

Loretto, Pa. - Despite Tori Allen winning her match to close the gap and make it 3-2 with two matches left, the Bison fell to Saint Francis 4-3Â on Saturday afternoon. The Bison are now 5-7 on the season overall.Â
Saint Francis took the doubles point to start off the day winning two of the three doubles matches. Despite losing the point, Caroline Marcus and Riley Jennings won their doubles match for Bucknell over Kelly Dowuona and Morgan Tuffs 7(8)-6(6).Â
In singles, Saint Francis took the matches on Court 1 and Court 2 to go up 3-1 on Bucknell. Anna Lajos then won her singles match against Dowuona 7-5, 6-4 and Tori Allen made it a one point game winning her match against Reagen Mangan 6-4, 6-3.Â
With the score at 3-2 and two matches left, the team's split, earning SFU a 4-3 win.
Bucknell will return to the courts on Sunday, March 23 at noon on the Varsity Tennis Courts to host Navy in its Patriot League home opener.
