Water Polo Heads to Aztec Invite

LEWISBURG, Pa.- Bucknell women's water polo (10-5) continues its California spring break trip with four games at the Aztec Invite hosted by San Diego State on March 14-15. The Bison will face Cal State Fullerton, #16 Michigan, #20 San Diego State, and #2 USC.

The Inside "Herd" on the Bison

Bucknell opened the 2025 spring break trip with a 25-7 defeat to #7 Long Beach State. Seven different players tallied a goal for the Orange & Blue.
The Bison rebounded the next day with a 21-10 thrashing of Concordia University. Olivia Hopper scored six goals in the victory.
Every Bison field player has found the net in the 2025 season showcasing Head Coach John McBride's ability at restocking Bucknell's cupboard after the past few seasons.

Opposition Overview

Michigan is 7-5 overall and 1-2 in CWPA play. The Wolverines have played a brutal schedule with ten ranked teams. Michigan has held its own going 5-5 against ranked foes.
USC is 17-1 and earned its number two slot by going 11-1 against ranked foes. Its only loss came to #1 Stanford. The Trojans offense averages more than 20 goals a game scoring 337. Freshman Emily Ausmus leads the team with 63 goals.
Cal State Fullerton is 9-13 on the year due to an 0-10 record versus ranked teams. The Titans have scored 197 goals with Destiny Hernandez leading the way with 31 tallies.
San Diego is 10-7 on the year and 1-6 against ranked foes. The Aztecs have scored 258 goals in 17 goals with two players recording 40+ tallies.
