Women’s Golf Finishes 10th at Jackrabbit Invitational

RESULTS
BOULDER CITY, Nev. – The Bucknell women's golf team posted four scores in the 70s for the second straight round and finished up the Jackrabbit Invitational with a 307 team score on Tuesday at Boulder Creek GC. Freshman Sophia Bardunias once again paced the Bison with a 2-over-par 74, and the Bison finished in 10th place with a 54-hole total of 921 (311-303-307).
Bardunias shot 77-74-74 and moved up to a T-19th finish in a field of 92 players. She birdied the 9th, 12, and 14th holes on Tuesday and tallied a team-high eight birdies on the week.
Paige Richter posted a 77, and Nicole Yun and Lila Smith both carded 78s. Katherine Vice's 81 was not needed.
Host South Dakota State won the tournament with a 15-over 879. The top three teams all came from the Summit League, as North Dakota State and St. Thomas tied for second at 888.
McKenzie Mages of SDSU shot 66-76-71 to claim medalist honors at 3-under 213. Omaha's Katie Ruge was the only other player to finish in red numbers at 1-under 215. Her final-round 67 was the best of the day.
Bucknell returns to action on March 29-30 at he Prospect Bay Intercollegiate in Grasonville, Md.
