
Freshmen Lead Bison on Final Day of Bash at the Beach

RESULTS
NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Freshmen Jack Hartman and Patrick Pritsios both shot 2-over-par 73s to lead the Bucknell men's golf team in the final round of the Bash at the Beach, hosted by Appalachian State at the Surf Golf and Beach Club. The Bison finished with a 300 team score and tied for 14th place alongside Northern Kentucky.
Hartman made three birdies and Pritsios had an eagle and one birdie on their way to matching 73s. Michael Rudnik also carded three birdies and shot 75, and James Key posted a 79.
The tournament was shortened from 54 to 36 holes due to rain on Monday, and Hartman was Bucknell's low man for the week with a 6-over 148 (75-73), which put him in a tie for 41st place.
App State's Herman Huus shot 68-69 for a 5-under 137 total, and he edged Longwood's Scott Jordan and Iona's Sean Richards by one shot for medalist honors. Longwood won the team title with rounds of 282-285 for a 1-under total of 567. App State placed second, three shots behind the Lancers. First-round leader UConn slipped to third place at +4.
Bucknell is back in action on March 23-25 at the UC San Diego Invitational, which will be played at the famed Torrey Pines South course in La Jolla, Calif.
