Water Polo Faces Two Golden State Foes

LEWISBURG, Pa.- Bucknell women's water polo (9-4) opens their spring break trip to California with a pair of games against potent competition. The Bison face #7 Long Beach State on Tuesday and Concordia University Irvine on Wednesday.

The Inside "Herd" on the Bison

Bucknell had its nine-game winning streak halted after facing three ranked CWPA foes in Brown, Harvard, and Princeton.
The Bison were easily handled by Harvard and Princeton but fought #21 Brown to a 13-10 defeat.
Every Bison field player has scored a goal in the 2025 season highlighting Head Coach John McBride's outstanding efforts at rebuilding Bucknell's historically strong depth.

Opposition Overview

Long Beach State is 10-8 and ranked seventh nationally. The Beach has played a brutal schedule with 14 games against ranked foes. The team has gone 6-8 against ranked opposition. Their offense has scored 245 goals.
Concordia University is 2-12 on the year. They have defeated Claremont-Mudd Scripps and Chapman. The Golden Eagles have scored 110 goals this season.
