About the Bison
- Bucknell's 2025 spring season gets going on Sunday as the Bison travel to Florida's Atlantic Coast for the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate at Hammock Creek GC. Bucknell is one of 18 teams in a strong field.
- This is the first of six spring events, culminating with the Patriot League Championship at Saucon Valley CC Apr. 18-20. Bucknell will be back in Florida later this month for the Babs Steffens Invitational, hosted by Stetson at DeBary CC.
- The Bison are looking to build on a strong fall season. The squad posted top-three finishes in four of its five tournaments, including a runner-up sowing at the Red Flash Invitational at Sunnehanna CC in October.
- Bucknell posted a 311.6 team scoring average in the fall, highlighted by a record-setting week at Youngstown State's Roseann Schwartz Invitational. The Bison shot 301-295 in a third-place finish, breaking the school 18- and 36-hole scoring records along the way.
- Nicole Yun's 75.3 fall average led the team. She played in three tournaments and finished in the top 11 individually in all three.
- Freshman Sophia Bardunias logged three top-10s and a 76.9 scoring average. Bardunias was named Patriot League Golfer of the Week after shooting 72-72 in a fourth-place finish at Youngstown.
- Paige Richter (78.2), Lila Smith (78.2), and Tara Thomas (79.0) also posted sub-80 averages in the fall.
- Head coach Laura Tyler-Cook will send out Bardunias, Smith, Thomas, Richter, and Katherine Vice this weekend. Katrina von Behren will also play unattached.
- Bucknell finished 13th in this event last season with rounds of 319-318-324. Richter was the low Bison for the week with rounds of 79-83-76.
