PROVIDENCE, R.I.- Bucknell gave No. 21 Brown a tussle and Olivia Hopper scored five goals but came up short in a 13-10 defeat on Sunday morning. The Bison dropped its third straight game and decreased to 9-4 overall and 2-3 in CWPA conference play. Brown moved to 8-7 overall and 2-2 in CWPA competition.

Olivia Hopper tied the game at 1-1 in the opening quarter but Brown rattled off four straight goals to end the period.

The Bears extended their lead to 6-1 before Boati Motau and Izzy Lippolis scored two straight goals. Brown again responded with a 4-0 run to enter halftime up 10-3.

The third quarter belonged to Olivia Hopper. The freshman phenom scored both of Bucknell's goals and the Bison defense held Brown scoreless.

Olivia Hopper scored two more goals in the fourth quarter and Brown replied with one making it 11-7. Twin sister Ashley Hopper tallied a score which Brown answered. Moatu and Caitlin Stott scored twice and the Bison were within 12-10 with 58 seconds remaining. However, Brown scored an insurance goal and time ran out on the Orange & Blue.

Bucknell is off next weekend before starting the spring break trip on March 11.
