
Twiss, Vinarub Victorious as Men’s Swimming & Diving Competes at Bucknell Fall Invite

RESULTS
LEWISBURG, Pa. – Riley Twiss and Jackson Vinarub earned first-place finishes for the men's swimming and diving team on Saturday at the Bucknell Fall Invitational. In addition to the two wins, the Bison secured eight top-three finishes in the non-scored meet against Seton Hall and Binghamton. The early season competition featured an extended slate of events and gave the Bison a chance to compete in events they might not ordinarily swim.
Twiss posted Bucknell's first win of the day in the 200-yard butterfly, with a time of 1:50.97. Finn Franks finished third in that event. Twiss came back later to finish second in the 200 freestyle (1:41.22).
Vinarub posted a winning score of 291.65 in the 1-meter dive, with teammate Jack Krug a close third with a mark of 288.10. Vinarub later finished fifth on the 3-meter board (274.95).
Bucknell started the day with a solid second-place finish behind Seton Hall in the 200 freestyle relay. The Bison quartet of Finn Russell, William Harpster, Dante Buonadonna, and Drew Greene finished in 1:23.43. In the afternoon's first individual event, Avery Kuhn was runner-up in the 200 individual medley in 1:53.03.
Also placing second were freshman Drew Davis in the 100 free (45.35) and Jason Kellerman in the 100 butterfly (50.12). Kellerman was also fourth in the 100 free, and Davis added a fifth-place finish in the 200 free.
Matt Raudabaugh finished third in the 200 breaststroke (2:07.02), and Alex Crossing and Shane Wynne went 3-4 in the 400 IM.
Bucknell's all-freshman 200 medley relay finished a solid fourth in a time of 1:34.29. The relay featured Davis, Finn Lukens, Kellerman, and CJ Meier.
The Bison will be back in action on Nov. 8 for a quad meet at Navy along with American and Lafayette.
