Women's Golf to Compete in Red Flash Invitational for Final Fall Tournament

About the Bison

Bucknell heads to Johnstown, Pa. for its final tournament of the fall on Monday and Tuesday. Saint Francis is the tournament host, and the Bison are one of 10 teams in the field at Sunnehanna CC.
The Bison will have five players in the lineup this week: senior Paige Richter, freshman Joelle Johnson, junior Nicole Yun, sophomore Sophia Bardunias, and junior Katherine Vice.
The Bison are coming off of a second-place finish at the Navy Fall Invitational where Paige Richter took third individually. Nicole Yun and Joelle Johnson both took fifth in the event.
Bucknell opened its fall season with back-to-back tournament wins for the first time in program history. The Bison dominated at home in the Bucknell Invitational, defeating the field of 17 teams by 33 strokes. Bucknell then won by two strokes at the Battle at the Creek in a field of 15 teams with an 899.
Bucknell tied for ninth at the Navy Fall Invitational and took second at the Navy Fall Invitational.
As a team, the Bison have shot five rounds below 300 and are averaging a 299.4 through four tournaments and 11 rounds
Johnson leads the team this season with a 73.9 average, playing in all events in the fall. Richter has played in two events, averaging a 74.8. Bardunias is averaging a 75.0, Yun is averaging a 75.8 and Vice is averaging a 76.0.

Four different Bison have earned a Patriot League Golfer of the Week honor. The Bison have won the award after every tournament they have played in thus far. Vice, Johnson, Bardunias and Richter have all won the award this year.
