Tournament Details
Format: Round-robin style play in four-player singles groups and four-tandem doubles groups; flight champions based on overall record, with sets W/L and games W/L used as tiebreakers

Schedule:
Saturday (8 a.m. start): 2 rounds of singles, 1 round of doubles
Sunday (8 a.m. start): 2 rounds of doubles, 1 round of singles

Bucknell at a Glance

• The Bucknell women's tennis team kicks off its 2024-25 season at home this weekend with the Bucknell Invitational. The Bison have started every season with their home tournament since 2010. It's the first of three invitationals the Bison will attend this fall, and they're also scheduled to compete at the ITA Regionals in October.
• Bucknell returns seven members of last year's squad, and it welcomes three newcomers: Natalie Devraj (Mandeville, La.), Riley Jennings (Apex, N.C.) and Cameron King (Albuquerque, N.M.).

• Bucknell returns two-time First Team All-Patriot League honoree Whitney King. The senior became just the third Bison in program history to receive both First Team All-Patriot League and Academic All-Patriot League accolades two seasons in a row, joining Daniela Bellini '22 and Maria Cioffi '16.

• King enters the 2024-25 season tied for 12th in the record book in career combined victories (110), including a 62-19 doubles record and a 48-20 singles mark. King's 62 doubles wins are tied for eighth all-time. Fellow senior Anna Lajos is tied with King in career singles wins (48) and tied for 20th on the all-time career combined victories list.

• Playing alongside King in nearly all of her doubles matches over the last two seasons has been junior Abby Platt, who is 42-12 in doubles over her career. Platt led all Bison in singles wins in 2023-24, going 19-8.

• Seniors King, Lajos and Caroline Marcus are serving as team captains for the 2024-25 campaign.

• Head coach Tammy Cecchini is entering her sixth season leading the program. She ranks third in program history with 56 wins.

A Look Ahead

• Bucknell heads to Philadelphia, Pa. to compete at the Saint Joseph's Invitational Friday, Sept. 20 through Sunday, Sept. 22.
