RESULTS
HAMILTON, N.Y. – Hayden Quinn fired a 1-under-par 71 to lead the Bucknell men's golf team in its first official round of the 2024-25 season at Colgate's Alex Lagowitz Invitational on Saturday at Seven Oaks Golf Club. The event was scheduled to start with a 36-hole day, but a long weather delay meant the 15 teams in the field could only get in 18 holes.
The Bison are in 10th place after compiling a 10-over 298 team score. Defending champion Yale opened with a 289 and leads Seton Hall and Colgate by two strokes. Fifth-place Villanova is three shots back.
Quinn got hot on the Seven Oaks back nine, making four birdies and five pars for a 4-under 32. He is tied for eighth place individually, four shots behind co-leaders Robbie Herzig of Colgate and Ryan Pamer of Villanova.
Also counting for Bucknell were Michael Rudnick and James Key with 75s and freshman Patrick Pritsios with a 77 in his collegiate debut. Lyman Brackett and freshman Jack Hartman followed with 78s.
The final round is slated for Sunday morning starting with a 9 a.m. shotgun.
