Men’s Tennis Selected as ITA All-Academic Team, Six Bison Named ITA Scholar-Athletes

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell men's tennis squad was cited as an All-Academic Team by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association on Monday, and six Bison – Adam Stavrakas, Amar Tahirovic, Ethan Esclamado, Oscar Bain Moreno de Vega, Tim Zelikovsky, and Will Robinson -- earned Scholar-Athlete status.

ITA Scholar-Athletes must have earned a minimum 3.50 grade-point average for the 2023-24 academic year, and ITA All-Academic Teams must have combined for a 3.20 GPA for the full academic year.

Earlier this spring, the Bison placed seven team members on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, and Tahirovic was also named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team. Bain, Stavrakas, and Tahirovic were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.

In 2024, 1,059 Division I Men's student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, and 176 men's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
