Women's Swim & Dive Ties Program Record with 32 Student-Athletes on PL Academic Honor Roll

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell women's swimming & diving team landed 32 student-athletes on the 2024 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, tying last year's program record. The team has had at least 30 honorees in four of the last five seasons and was one of only four Patriot League teams with 30 this year.
Patriot League student-athletes are selected to the academic honor roll for achieving a 3.2 grade-point average (GPA) or better during the semester in which their league champion is crowned. Bucknell as a whole recorded a league-high 526 student-athletes on the academic honor roll in 2023-24, including 352 during the winter-spring season.
As a team, the women's swim & dive program achieved an outstanding 3.75 GPA, improving on last spring's 3.73. 27 of its 32 academic honor roll members earned Dean's List status with a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and a staggering 13 Bison achieved perfect 4.0 GPAs: Jennifer Bolden, Gillian Camperlengo, Meghan Catherwood, Sydney Dettmann, Emma Feld, Kate Gottwald, Virginia Hastings, Gina Hinthorn, Esme Hunter, Kyla Kelly, Grace Kujawski, Kayla Lichtner and Stephanie Walsh.
Seniors Gottwald, Kujawski, Lichtner, Caroline McGann and Walsh each made the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll all four years during their careers at Bucknell. Catherwood, Hunter, McGann and Skye Sunderhauf were College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team members this season, while Hunter and McGann were 2024 Academic All-Patriot League Team honorees.
