Women's Golf Places Eight on Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

LEWISBURG, Pa. -- The Bucknell women's golf team placed eight of its 10 student-athletes on the 2023-24 Patriot League Winter-Spring Academic Honor Roll, which was announced by the league office on Wednesday.
Patriot League student-athletes are selected to the academic honor roll for achieving a 3.2 grade-point average (GPA) or better during the semester in which their League champion is crowned. Bucknell registered a League-high 526 student-athletes on the Academic Honor Roll in 2023-24, including 352 during the winter and spring seasons. Lafayette and Lehigh tied for second with 426 honorees apiece, while Holy Cross (419) and Colgate (417) placed third and fourth, respectively. Boston University (382), Loyola Maryland (347), Navy (312), American (220), and Army West Point (218) rounded out the League's 10 full-member institutions.
Six of the women's golf team's eight honorees also made the Bucknell Dean's List with a GPA of 3.50 or better. Among them was sophomore Paige Richter, an economics major who was also a Second Team All-Patriot League and Academic All-Patriot League selection earlier in the spring. Junior Tara Thomas, a civil engineering major, led the team with a 3.89 GPA in the spring.
