Bison Women Finish Sixth at the ECAC Championships

FAIRFAX, Va.- The Bucknell Bison women's track & field team finished sixth at the ECAC Outdoor Championships with 51.75 points. The team added three more All-East designations (top eight) to end up with 11 for the weekend.

Justley Sharp added another All-East designation to her weekend by finishing sixth in the discus throw. Her toss of 145-6 added three points to Bucknell's total. Sharp won silver in the shot put yesterday.

Freshman Megan Baggetta grabbed sixth in the triple jump. Her leap of 38-3 ½ provided three points.

The 4x800-meter relay quartet of Lauren Shaffer, Kailey Granger, Aiden Smith, and Laura Posh clinched seventh place and two points. They combined for a time of 9:47.66.

The four NCAA East Preliminaries qualifiers of Evelyn Bliss (javelin), Karen Hull (high jump), Sharp (shot put), and Brylee Tereska (javelin) will compete on May 22 in Kentucky.
