Women’s Golf Moves up One Spot at Navy Spring Invitational

RESULTS
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Led by a 77 from Paige Richter, the Bucknell women's golf squad chopped 34 strokes off its first-round score, finishing with a 319 at the Navy Spring Invitational on Sunday. The Bison moved up one spot and finished in eighth place with a 36-hole total of 672.
Richter and Kelsey Yi (78) both posted rounds in the 70s in Sunday's final round. Richter was only 2-over par through 17 holes but finished with a triple-bogey on her final hole – the ninth – to settle for 77. Earlier in the round she made birdies at 13 and 16 as part of an even-par 36 on the course's back nine.
The Bison also counted 82s from Nicole Yun and Tara Thomas. Richter, Yun, and Yi all finished T-39th with 167 totals.
Navy's Sue Lee, who was playing as an individual, closed with a 2-under 70 and earned medalist honors with a 3-over 147 for the week. Quinnipiac's Aimee Uchida and Dartmouth's Katherine Sung finished three back.
Penn was the team champion with a 612 total (310-302), eight better than runner-up Quinnipiac.
Next up for the Bison is the Patriot League Championship, which they will host next Friday through Sunday at the Bucknell Golf Club.
