
Men's Track & Field Delivers One Win on Day Two of the Bison Outdoor Classic

LEWISBURG, Pa.- The Bucknell Bison men's track & field team capped a profitable second day at the Bison Outdoor Classic. The squad collected one win and multiple top-ten finishes.

Bernard Kemp continued his hot stretch from the CARIFTA Games by conquering the long jump. The freshman won the event on a jump of 24-1 ½.
Jeffrey Cianfrocca placed fifth in the high jump with a leap of 6-6.
Braden Stryker was the leading Bison in the discus throw. The junior's 167-11 won him sixth place and inserted him at seventh in Bucknell history.
Jack Higgins had a history-making result in the 5000-meter run. The freshman's time of 14:20.15 finished fifth in the event and now ranks tenth in Bucknell history. His mark displaced Mike Deckert's 41-year-old spot.
Wade Shomper grabbed sixth in the shot put. The sophomore's 54-9 ½ mark was less than a foot off his personal best.
Carter Boullard placed seventh in the unseeded 1500-meter run. His time of 3:59.57 won the spot by 0.02 seconds.
Miguel Negrete notched 11th in the decathlon. His 5376 points placed several hundred above the 12th-place finisher.
Daniel Hilmer led the Bison efforts in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:24.02. He finished 17th.
James Riedinger placed 19th in the javelin throw with a toss of 168-3.
Harry Manson led all Bison runners in the 10,000-meter run result. He finished 36th with a flourish on a time of 40:48.35.
Carter Paul finished 65th in the 1500-meter run. His time was a balmy 3:57.28.
