
Bison Men Finish Strong on the Final Day of the Bison Outdoor Classic

LEWISBURG, Pa.- The Bucknell Bison men's track & field team capped the Bison Outdoor Classic with a proficient Sunday session. The Bison recorded several top-ten finishes in the crowded field. The appearance of lightning curtailed the remainder of the competition, forcing the omission of several relays, the men's pole vault, and the 3000-meter run.Â

The 4x100-meter relay quartet of Amani Brown, Preston Lubeski, Brian Scotto, and Brandon Foust combined to finish seventh. Their time of 42.01 narrowly edged the eighth-place finish of 42.03.
Ethan Wolford-Tuffy improved his standing in the Bucknell record book for the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.07. He progressed from ninth place to seventh. He finished eighth in the event.
Aiden Tacker placed 10th in the hammer throw. The sophomore tossed the instrument 177-4 feet.
Foust placed 11th in the 200-meter dash. His time of 21.79 missed the top ten by 0.04 seconds. He also slotted 16th in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.77. It was 0.04 seconds away from tying his record.
Jared Hess finished 19th in the triple jump. He leaped 45-0 ¼ feet.
Bernard Kemp placed 20th in the 400-meter hurdles. The freshman recorded a time of 56.89.
Alex Simpson finished 22nd in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:52. 80. He narrowly missed inclusion into the Bucknell top ten list.
Robert Kossick slotted 35th in the 110-meter hurdles with a mark of 16.44.
There were several facility records set. Cornell set the record in the 4x100 with a time of 40.71. It beat Shippensburg's record from 2022. In the hammer throw, Marcus Disbrow (unattached) threw 224-0 feet to dislodge G. Ingalls (Army) mark from 1996. Penn State's Yukichi Ishii shattered the 800-meter run record with his time of 1:48.28. It broke the mark set last year by a fellow Nittany Lion in E. Dorenkamp. Jordan Dean of Ohio Northern set a new 400-meter dash record with a time of 46.84, breaking the record set by M. Fabio (Adelphi) in 2012. Samuel Hartman, running unattached, broke his record in the 400-meter hurdles set last year as an Edinboro runner.
