Katherine Vice Named Patriot League Golfer of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell freshman Katherine Vice earned Patriot League Golfer of the Week honors on Wednesday after a strong performance at the Youngstown State Spring Invitational. Vice posted rounds of 77 and 75 and finished in fifth place in the field of 38 players.

Vice's second-round 75 matched her season low. She had posted 75 on two previous occasions, once earlier this spring at the SMSU Spring Classic in Arizona and once in the fall at the Delaware State Invitational.

With the strong performance in Ohio, Vice lowered her spring scoring average to 79.6 and her full-season average to 80.1.

Bucknell finished in third place as a team last week, just one shot behind runner-up Youngstown State. The Bison will be in Annapolis this Saturday and Sunday for the Navy Invitational. That is the team's final tuneup before the Patriot League Championship, which will be held at the Bucknell Golf Club on Apr. 19-21.
