CORAL GABLES, FLA.- The Bucknell Bison men's track & field team opened the outdoor season with four members competing at the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational. Tristan An (jumps), Jeffrey Cianfrocca (jumps), Wade Shomper (throws), and Ethan Wolford-Tuffy (sprints) were the selected competitors.

"Our athletes had a great day in Miami and they represented the Bucknell brand well and got our outdoor season off to a tremendous start. Although there was a weather delay that made for a long day, I am proud of how our athletes adjusted and competed. This meet helps our team reach a higher level."

Both An and Cianfrocca brought home top-eight finishes in the high jump. Cianfrocca's placement of 6-7 won sixth place. The mark was one inch away from meriting inclusion in the Bucknell top ten. An slotted eighth (6-1 1/4).

Shomper competed in the discus and the shot put, unlocking top six placements in both events. He finished fifth (142-5) in the discus and sixth (52-2 3/4) in the shot put.

Wolford-Tuffy also participated in two events: the 200-meter and 400-meter dashes. The senior sprinter ran a 48.15 in the 400-meter dash, matching his best time set in 2023. The mark won him seventh place and ranks ninth in Bucknell history. He placed 14th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.12.
