LEWISBURG, Pa.- Lily Neilson will need to expand her trophy case as the senior striker landed yet another award by being named to the 2024 NFHCA Division I Senior Team. Neilson joins an elite cache of 38 seniors in receiving the honor. She's the first Bison to receive the laurel since Kayla Kisthardt in 2022.Â

This honor reflects not only their performances throughout the season, but also their enduring impact on and off the field. The NFHCA is deeply grateful to longtime coach and donor Karren Mann for her generous contribution to the Senior Team awards experience, now and over the next nine years. Thanks to her support, each selected 2024 student-athlete will receive a personalized engraved award commemorating this special recognition.
Neilson shined brightly during the 2024 season as one of the nation's deadliest scoring threats. The senior collected 18 goals to lead the Patriot League and currently rank third nationally. She became the first player in Patriot League history to top the loop all four seasons. Her 38 points paced the circuit as she won Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year for the third consecutive season - a Patriot League first and she became one of 25 players to earn All-League honors four times. She earned four Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week honors this season, tying the League record of 10, set by Lafayette's Deanna DiCroce (2009-12).
She graduates Bucknell as the program's leader in goals (60) and points (126). Her marks broke into the Patriot League career top ten - second for goals and eighth for points.Â
The Australian will be a shoo-in for All-Region and will likely repeat as an All-American honoree. Last year, Neilson broke new ground as Bucknell Field Hockey's first Second Team All-American selection. All Region will be announced on Dec. 4Â and All-American on Dec. 19.
