Men's Water Polo Travels to Annapolis for MAWPC Championship Tournament

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell men's water polo travels to Annapolis, Md., for the Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference Championship Tournament, running Friday through Sunday. The Bison will take on Wagner in the first round on Friday.

Bucknell recently had a week off following a narrow 16-14 loss to Wagner in their final game of the season on Sunday, Nov. 10.
Bucknell concluded the regular season with an 11-15 overall record and a 7-7 mark in conference play.
Aleksa Stefanovic leads the team with 84 goals, followed by Tyler Hedblad with 47, Shay Gillearn with 39, Jovan Udovicic with 38, and Sean Tunnicliff and Matt Ryckman tied at 32 goals each.
Bucknell surged ahead early with goals from Matt Ryckman, Sean Tunnicliff, and Aleksa Stefanovic, but Wagner tied the game, leading to a back-and-forth first half.
In the second half, Bucknell regained the lead through goals by Stefanovic, Ryckman, and Murad before Wagner equalized and pulled away for the win.
Stefanovic led Bucknell with six goals, Ryckman added four, and six other players contributed one goal each.
Wagner closed out its regular season that weekend with a 14-10 victory over Mount St. Mary's.
The winner of the Wagner-Bucknell matchup will advance to face the winner of the Mercyhurst vs. No. 3 Fordham game on Saturday at 4 p.m.
