LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell senior defender Aidan Lawlor was selected to the 11-man Academic All-Patriot League Men's Soccer Team on Monday.
Last week, Lawlor earned First Team All-Patriot League honors after helping the resurgent Bison to a regular-season co-championship. The center back made 15 starts in his first three seasons as a Bison before making 11 starts and 14 appearances this season. Lawlor provided the assist for Waldemar Kattrup's late match-winning goal over Army on October 20.
Lawlor played a big role in Bucknell's defensive performance throughout the season. The Bison led the Patriot League, allowing just 18 goals in its 17 matches for a 1.06 GAA. In Patriot League action, the Bison allowed just five goals for a 0.56 GAA. Only Lehigh, Cornell, St. Francis, and St. Bonaventure scored multiple goals against the Bison this season.
Off the field, Lawlor is a finance major with a 3.65 cumulative grade-point average. The Morristown, N.J., native also has a minor in real estate and is a member of the Beta Alpha Psi Honor Society. Last summer he was a fund analyst intern with The Hampshire Companies, and after graduation he will be joining PGIM Real Estate's equity group as an investment analyst.
After finishing at the bottom of the table just one year ago, the Bison jumped all the way into a tie for first place with a 4-1-4 Patriot League record this fall. Bucknell is the No. 2 seed in the Patriot League Tournament and will host No. 3 American in the semifinal round on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Emmitt Field at Holmes Stadium.
