- Despite a slow start against Long Island, trailing by one at the end of the first quarter, Bucknell's offense surged, leading 10-8 at halftime and dominating the remainder of the match. Tyler Hedblad and Sean Tunnicliff netted two each, and Jack Murad, Ned Smith, and Matt Ryckman each contributed one goal.
- Bucknell currently holds a 9-11 overall record and a 5-3 mark in the Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference.
- In their previous meeting with George Washington at Kinney Natatorium a few weeks ago, Bucknell narrowly lost 13-12. The Bison had seven different players score, led by Shay Gillearn's four-goal performance. Despite George Washington jumping to an early lead, Bucknell rallied to tie the game at 5-5 late in the second period.
- Earlier in October, Bucknell secured a 13-8 victory over Johns Hopkins. The Bison displayed a well-rounded offensive effort, with eight players contributing to the scoring. After a 2-2 tie in the first quarter, Bucknell took control with a 2-0 run to start the second and maintained their lead throughout the match.
- The Bison faced Navy in a closely contested match earlier this season, with the Midshipmen edging out a 14-13 victory. Both teams overcame three-goal deficits in that game, with Bucknell rallying with a 5-0 run in the third quarter to take a 7-6 lead.
