PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Bucknell wrestling team bounced back Sunday afternoon with a 24-10 win over Drexel at the Daskalakis Athletic Center to improve to 7-4 overall and 3-1 in EIWA duals. The Dragons held a 10-7 lead halfway through the match, but the Bison took the final five bouts and won seven of 10 overall.
Braden Bower (141) and Logan Deacetis (197) both scored bonus points for the Bison, and it was Deacetis' 16-0 tech fall (4:46) that gave Bucknell a 21-10 lead and sealed the dual.
Drexel won three of the first five bouts, including a major decision by Desmond Pleasant at 125 that gave the Dragons a 4-0 lead. No. 16 Kurt Phipps won his second of the weekend at 133, posting a 6-1 decision over Jaxon White for Bucknell's first points. Braden Bower (141) then gave the Bison their first lead of the day with a convincing 14-3 major decision over Jordan Soriano, who was 7-0 in duals entering the day. It was Bower's third major of the season. Phipps improved to 18-2 overall, and Bower is now 12-5.

Drexel regained the lead with back-to-back wins at 149 and 157, but they would be the Dragons' last wins of the day.
No. 12 Noah Mulvaney also upped his weekend record to 2-0 with an 8-5 decision over Cody Walsh, and he's now a team-best 23-3 on the season. His win spurred the 17-0 Bison run.
Myles Takats won at 174 in comeback fashion, as he trailed Jack Janda 6-1 after the first period. He bounced back with a takedown early in the second and another in the third, and the two were tied at 8-8 when the buzzer sounded, but Takats secured the riding time point for the 9-8 decision.
Bartush was a winner for a second day in a row, defeating Justin Griffith 5-1. Deacetis took care of Ibrahim Ameer in a hurry, scoring a takedown in the first five seconds of the match and racing to an 11-0 lead by the end of the opening period. He collected his fourth tech fall of the season just 1:46 into the second and improved to 16-8.
No. 27 Dorian Crosby rebounded from a narrow loss to Army on Saturday with a strong 8-3 win over Santino Morina to end the day. The senior improved to 18-6, and Bucknell avenged a 23-13 loss to the Dragons last year.
Bucknell is back on the road next weekend for duals at Navy and Columbia. The Bison take on the Midshipmen at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3 before facing Columbia at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 4.
