Men’s Golf in Middle of Pack after 36 Holes at Macdonald Cup

RESULTS
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Sophomore James Key and freshman Alex Creamean are both positioned in the top 10, and the Bucknell men's golf team is tied for sixth place in a 12-team field after 36 holes at the Macdonald Cup, hosted by Yale.
Key and Creamean both totaled 5-over-par 145 over the first 36 holes and are tied for ninth place. Key shot 71-74 on the par-70 Yale Golf Course, while Creamean shot 72-73. Sophomore Andres Barraza followed with rounds of 75-74, junior Jake Maddaloni with 77-82, and freshman Hayden Quinn with 78-85.
Yale's Gabriel Ruiz has the individual lead at even-par 140 (71-69). Teammate Robert You (72-69) and Bryant's Aiden Azevedo (74-67) are both one shot back. Key and Creamean, who both made five birdies on the day, are two of the six players in a tie for ninth place, five shots off the lead.
Yale posted a pair of 286s for a total of 572, and the Bulldogs have a six-shot lead over UC San Diego. Seton Hall (579), Georgetown (588), and St. John's (597) round out the top five, while Bucknell and Fairfield are tied for sixth at 598.
The final round gets underway with a 9 a.m. shotgun start on Sunday.
