HAMILTON, N.Y.- The Bucknell Bison men's cross country team opened the 2023 season at the Harry Lang Invitational and finished fourth out of nine teams. The Bison placed ahead of three fellow Patriot League teams (Colgate, Lafayette, and Lehigh) and trailed Navy, who won second.Â

Donner's DebriefingÂ
"It was obviously our first race of the season on an aggressive course," said head coach Kevin Donner. "Didden ran a fantastic race, he looked good, and he beat some great runners. The order of our guys was much different than I projected, and I am unsure if that is a good or a bad thing. We trained hard the past two weeks, and a few guys may have been a bit tired and didn't look too sharp. It is early, and we have some work to do, and I am confident we will see a big improvement from race one to race two."
Recap
Henry Didden ran an incredible race, taking home silver in the event against some strong competition, including runners from Power 5 school Syracuse. He had the best time of any Patriot League with his speed of 19:02.09.Â
Grayson Crockett was the next Bison finisher taking home 19th place (19:46.4). His teammate, Christian Cadmus, was literally right behind him on the course and in the standings by grabbing 20th place with a time of 19:46.9.Â
Mason Siebenhaar earned 22nd place with a mark of 19:50.5. Jayson Harmer rounded out the Bucknell scorers finishing 26th on a time of 19:54.3.
Their teammates, Peter Sorenson and Trent Dinant, kept pace, earning 27th (19:56.1) and 28th (19:57.1).
