Seven Men's Tennis Student-Athletes Named to Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Seven members of the Bucknell men's tennis team earned places on the 2023 Patriot League Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll on Tuesday. The Bison, who won 15 matches and came within a few points of advancing to the Patriot League Tournament final this spring, combined for a solid 3.33 team grade-point average.
Among Bucknell's Honor Roll members was senior Michael Owen, who earlier this spring was named to both the Academic All-Patriot League Team and the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. Owen compiled a perfect 4.0 GPA during the spring semester and was one of six Bison to make the Dean's List with a 3.50 or better.
Bucknell led all Patriot League institutions with 517 student-athletes on the 2022-23 Honor Roll, including 341 on the just-released winter/spring Honor Roll. Lehigh had the next-highest 2022-23 total with 398. Patriot League student-athletes are selected to the academic honor roll for achieving a 3.2 GPA or better during the semester in which their League champion is crowned. More than 3,500 student-athletes were honored this past academic year.
