
Women's Track & Field Journeys to Bethlehem for the Patriot League Outdoor Championships

LEWISBURG, Pa.- The Bucknell women's track & field team travels to Bethlehem to compete in the 2023 Patriot League Outdoor Championships. The Bison are ready to roll and looking to improve on last year's fourth-place finish behind Navy, Army, and Boston University.Â

Last Time Out (Penn Relays & Maroon & Gold Invitational)
- Olivia Boyce leaped to a mark of 5-6 1/2 in her event-winning effort at the Penn Relays. Her performance was two inches higher than the second-place finisher. She earned Bison of the Week for her accomplishment.Â
- The 4x100-meter relay quartet of Bridget Lalonde, Meghan Quinn, Lila Gaughan, and Karen Hull finished fourth in the college division with a time of 46.44.
- Brylee Tereska continued her impressive rookie campaign by finishing eighth in the javelin throw. She tossed the javelin a distance of 125-4.
- At the Maroon & Gold Invitational, Madeline Lehker continued the strong season for the Bucknell high jumpers by winning the high jump event with a leap of 5-05.00.Â
- Hollie Walters claimed first place in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:18.31. It was a full second faster than the second-place finisher.Â
- The Bison dominated the hammer throw, placing hurlers 1-2-3 in the standings. Madison McGloin led the way outpacing the second-place thrower by 18 feet thanks to her toss of 167-09. Isabelle Roes finished second (149-02), and Anne Glenning grabbed third (148-08).Â
- Competing in her final Patriot League championships, senior Ashlyn Ramos ran the second-fastest 5000 in school history to earn silver for a second straight year. Ramos posted a 16:22.42, beating her previous mark of 16:23.75.
- Fellow senior Michaela Bracken, who broke the school's 400 hurdles record in the prelims on Friday, took second in the event on Saturday with a 1:00.81. Bracken ran a 1:00.52 during the opening day of the meet to shatter the six-year-old record.
- Bucknell's 4x100 team of Bridget Lalonde, Meghan Quinn, Gianna Macones, and Karen Hull earned runner-up status with a 47.30 to add eight points to the Bison total. The group holds the second-fastest time in program history, which they set earlier this spring.
The qualifying student-athletes will compete in the ECAC Championships.
