Men's Track & Field Heads to IC4A Championships

LEWISBURG, Pa.- The Bucknell Bison men's track & field team will send multiple student-athletes to the prestigious ECAC Outdoor Championships this weekend. The Bison men are coming off a fifth-place finish at the Patriot League Outdoor Championships.

Last Time Out (Patriot League Outdoor Championships)

The Bison dominated the shot put, earning the second, third, and sixth-place finishes to collect 17 points. All three throwers set personal bests to establish a presence in the Bison top ten. Anthony Zamarra led the way, placing second on a heave of 56-0 ½ to keep second all-time in the Bucknell annals and score eight points. Wade Shomper finished third in the event and in Bucknell history on his toss of 55-11 ¾ to grab six points. Braden Stryker placed sixth on a throw of 54-1 ¾ to score three points. His mark inserted him into fifth in the Bucknell record book.
Samuel Whittaker completed his final Patriot League Outdoor Championship with a fourth-place finish in the 1500-meter run. The senior runner raced for a time of 3:48.28 to earn four points and improve upon his fifth-best time in Bison history.
Noah Martin finished fifth in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:01.63. The mark puts the senior at 10^th all-time in the Bucknell record book.
