Coach's Call
"The Bison Outdoor Classic has developed into one of the premier events on the east coast," said head coach Kevin Donner. "When I interviewed for this job in 2001 and toured the stadium, I envisioned a distance carnival under the lights in an old stadium atmosphere. This event has become one of the best and most talked about meets. We try to make it student-athlete and coaches centered. It was a combination of grassroots development of trying to get personal best marks and elite-level athletes trying to qualify for their respective national meets. This meet is a tremendous showcase for our program and our university. We are very proud to host such a huge event. Our athletic administration does a great job supporting and helping to administer this event. It is truly a carnival atmosphere. The only thing missing are clowns."
Alumni Tailgate
Bucknell Track & Field will host an alumni tailgate in which over 100+ former student-athletes and their families are expected to attend. The program is also hosting a junior day for prospective student-athletes.Â
Carnival AtmosphereÂ
The campus will buzz with the amount of activity and fans. So be sure to arrive early to nab a premium parking spot. The event also has a huge impact on the Lewisburg area with the number of student-athletes, their families, and fans providing a huge stimulus to the local economy.Â
Last Time Out
The Bison remain at home to host the Bucknell Team Challenge on April 22.Â
