Quinn Awarded Patriot League Women's Track Athlete of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa.- The accolades continue to pour in during the 2022-23 track & field for Meghan Quinn as the junior sprinter was awarded Patriot League Women's Track Athlete of the Week on Tuesday. It is the first Patriot League weekly honor for Quinn.Â
Quinn dominated the Lehigh Games this past Saturday, posting two wins in the 100-meter dash and the 4x100-meter relay. The Lititz, Pa. native's time of 11.80 was 0.62 seconds faster than the second-place finisher. That time was 0.11 seconds behind her record of 11.69 set at the Colonial Relays on April 1.Â
The sprinter teamed up with Bridget Lalonde, Lila Gaughan, and Karen Hull to win the 4x100-meter relay. Their time of 47.20 was almost a second better than the nearest competition. The time was only 0.06 seconds away from the quartet's mark of 47.14, which ranks sixth in the Bucknell annals. That mark was also set at the Colonial Relays.Â
The Patriot League weekly honor adds to Quinn's impressive list of laurels and accomplishments for the 2022-23 seasons. She finished first at the ECAC Indoor Championships in the 4x400-meter relay and now owns the school record in 100-meter for indoor, 200-meter dashes for indoor and outdoor, and the 4x400-meter relay for indoor and outdoor.Â
It is Bucknell's first women's track athlete of the week award since Ashlyn Ramos won it on April 20, 2021.Â
Quinn and the Bison return home this weekend with the three-day Bison Outdoor Classic. The event starts on April 14 and will be streamed on FloSports.Â
