Three Field Hockey Players Named NFHCA Scholars of Distinction

LEWISBURG, P.A.- The NFHCA released its Scholars of Distinction, and three Bucknell student-athletes, Olivia Bush, Clara McCormick, and Alexandra Shizas, earned the honor.

The Scholars of Distinction program recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2022-23 academic year, and 256 student-athletes have been recognized as NFHCA Division I Scholars of Distinction.

Bush, a junior Geology major from Providence, Rhode Island, recorded a 3.91 GPA during the fall semester. Clarm McCormick, hailing from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and a senior English/Creative Writing/Political Science major, posted a sparkling 4.00 GPA. Alexandra Shizas, a freshman bachelor of arts major from Fairfield, New Jersey, successfully jumped from high school to college coursework by earning a 3.91 ERA in her first semester.
