LEWISBURG, Pa.- The NFHCA (National Field Hockey Coaches Association) has announced its 2022 NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad.
The NFHCA National Academic Squad program honors undergraduate collegiate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher through the first semester of the current academic year and were nominated by their NFHCA member coach.
"We are extremely proud of our student-athletes, who are not only working hard on the field but excelling in the classroom," said head coach Kelsey Kolojejchick. "They proudly represent this university and deserve to be recognized for this great honor."
The field hockey team, who recorded a team GPA of 3.65, was well-represented with 17 student-athletes and just below the squads with the most members on the list. The sixteen Bison are the following: Rachel Apa, Reanne Burgess, Olivia Bush, Nora Frederick, Mia Fields, Noor Kaur, Mackenzie Kile, Kayla Kisthardt, Vivienne Lachaux, Kira Leclercq, Jess Leon, Clara McCormick, Kari Melberger, Nicole Moran, Sydney Panagos, Nicky Punt, and Alexandra Shizas.
The four-year honorees are Noor Kaur, Mackenzie Kile, Kayla Kisthardt, and Clara McCormick.
Three Division I academic awards remain to be announced — the NFHCA Scholars of Distinction will be announced on February 16, the NFHCA National Academic Team awards on February 21, and the National Scholar-Athlete on February 22.
