Men's Swim & Dive Lands Six on 2023 All-Patriot League Team

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Six members of the Bucknell men's swimming & diving team earned spots on the 2023 All-Patriot League Team, the league announced Wednesday.
John Gehrig and Leo Kuyl both landed on the First Team, while Justin DiSanto, Andy Dorsel, Chris Fabian and Chris Kopac made the Second Team. All six Bison received All-Patriot League recognition last year, and Kuyl made his first appearance on the First Team this season.
Bucknell had the third-most All-League honorees behind only Army (13) and Navy (12). Loyola was fourth with five selections, and Boston U. had one.
Of this year's All-Patriot League honorees, two won medals in individual events: Gehrig (silver in 200 butterfly, bronze in 100 butterfly, bronze in 200 IM) and Kuyl (gold in 500 freestyle, bronze in 100 freestyle). Each of them won at least one medal as part of relay teams.

First Team
John Gehrig – 48.5 points

Justin DiSanto – 36 points
- 8th in 50 freestyle, 8th in 100 breaststroke, 5th in 100 freestyle,
- 4th in 200 medley relay, 3rd in 400 medley relay, 4th in 200 freestyle relay, 4th in 400 freestyle relay
Andy Dorsel – 38 points
- 6th in 200 IM, 6th in 400 IM, 7th in 200 butterfly
- 3rd in 800 freestyle relay
Chris Fabian – 37 points
- 4th in 100 butterfly, 6th in 100 backstroke, 9th in 100 freestyle
- 4th in 200 medley relay, 3rd in 400 medley relay, 4th in 200 freestyle relay, 4th in 400 freestyle relay
Chris Kopac – 41 points
- 7th in 500 freestyle, 4th in 200 freestyle, 5th in 1650 freestyle
- 3rd in 800 freestyle relay
