10/31/2023 3:43:00 PM | Men's Basketball
LEWISBURG, Pa. – The official start of the 2023-24 men's hoops season is less than a week away, with the home opener slated for next Monday night against Delaware at Sojka Pavilion. As a warm-up to the start of the new campaign, first-year head coach John Griffin III '08 and select Bison players will be at Brendan's Towne Tavern on Wednesday night, Nov. 1, for the annual Backcourt Club Tip-Off Reception.
The popular event runs from 7-9 p.m. The $20 admission (cash or check) includes a buffet meal and drinks, as well as a raffle ticket for a chance to win Bucknell gear or the grand prize, a pair of 2023-24 season tickets.
Griffin, a former all-star guard on some of Bucknell's most-accomplished teams in the mid-2000s, will field a young but energetic squad this season. The contest against longtime Middle Atlantic Conference and East Coast Conference rival Delaware marks the first of nine games in a busy month of November for the Bison.
Below is some additional fan information as we head into the new season.
