Catherwood Named Patriot League Female Diver of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Meghan Catherwood of the Bucknell women's swimming & diving team was named Patriot League Female Diver of the Week on Tuesday for her performance at the 2023 Bucknell Fall Invite. Catherwood finished among the top three in both diving events on Saturday.
Catherwood took second place in the 3-meter dive with a score of 258.95, finishing only behind Seton Hall's grad transfer Silvia Alessio. Catherwood took third place on the 1-meter board with a 250.60.
For the season, Catherwood has placed first once time, second once, and third two times. The junior already ranks second in both diving events in the Bucknell record book, posting the school's best marks since 2013-14 during her sophomore season. Catherwood was an NCAA Zone Diving Championships participant last March. This is the first Patriot League weekly award Catherwood has earned in her career.
The Bucknell swimming & diving team competes next in Annapolis, Md. on Saturday, Nov. 4 when it attends a quad meet with Navy, American and Lafayette. The women's team is 1-1 in dual meets this season.
