Bain & Stavrakas Advance in Main Doubles Draw at ITA Regionals

RESULTS
LYNCHBURG, Pa. – Two Bucknell doubles teams played their way into the top flight at the ITA Atlantic Regional, and one of those pairs has moved into the Round of 16 after another strong win on Saturday afternoon.
The all-sophomore tandem of Oscar Bain Moreno de Vega and Adam Stavrakas defeated Morgan State's Mikael Carpenter and Niles Rachal 8-4 at the Liberty Tennis Center indoor courts. The Bison duo will next face the Old Dominion brother pairing of Codie and Connor Van Schalkwyk on Sunday at 3 p.m.
Amar Tahirovic and Brendan McDonald, another all-sophomore duo, dropped their match in the Gold Draw on Saturday, 8-4 at the hands of VCU's Matisse Bobichon and Mathis Bondaz. Tahirovic and McDonald will get another match in the consolation draw against a William & Mary team on Sunday morning.
The ITA Regionals continue through Monday in Lynchburg.
