LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell University women's water polo team is set to open its 2023 campaign at the Princeton Invite on Saturday and Sunday for three games.

- Bucknell has never defeated UC San Diego or UC Santa Barbara in program history, holding 0-12 and 0-4 records against the two teams, respectively. Wagner has also taken 11 straight games in the series between the two schools.
- Bucknell finished 10-17 last year, with a 3-9 record in conference games. The Bison lost Paige Furano and Larissa Hodzic to graduation, but return last year's second-leading scorer in Isabelle Monaghan, who set the single-game goals record in a win over Mount St. Mary's on April 23, 2022.
- Bucknell also competed in the Princeton Invite last season, going 3-1 in the tournament, including a CWPA win against Saint Francis (Pa.). Bucknell defeated Iona, the Red Flash, and VMI and fell to host Princeton.
- The Bison will continue on the road after this weekend, traveling to Providence, Rhode Island for four games as a part of the Bruno Classic.
