When: Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023
Participating teams: Men's: Bloomsburg, Bucknell, East Stroudsburg University, Mount St. Mary's, Saint Francis (Pa.), and Shippensburg University
Women's: Bloomsburg, Bucknell, East Stroudsburg University, Mount St. Mary's, Robert Morris, Saint Francis (Pa.), Shippensburg University, and Towson
Events are scheduled to start at 11 a.m. with the Women's Long Jump. The final event, the Men's 4x400 is slated for 6 p.m.
"The Gulden Invitational is a scored meet and being the second week of the 2023 season: everyone is looking to see improvement in all the event areas. I considered last weekend to be a rust buster after the long layoff from early December's Bison Opener and team practice," said Coach Kevin Donner. "Scored meets in college are rare in the regular season, which is a shame, and with the top six in every event scoring, an athlete cannot just hide in the results. Our athletes are going to focus on placing for this meet rather than times and distances. If they place high, their times and distances will most likely be very good anyway. This kind of meet will prepare them well for a league championship."
About the Bison
The Bison will pull double duty by competing at the Penn State National Invite and hosting the Bison Open and Multi.Â
