Men's Tennis Team Places Six on Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

LEWISBURG, Pa. -- The Bucknell men's tennis team landed six of its eight student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll on Monday. The Bison, who advanced to the Patriot League Tournament semifinals this spring, combined for a stellar 3.50 team grade-point average last semester.
To be named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must have achieved a minimum 3.20 GPA during the semester in which their team competed. This marks the fifth consecutive academic year the League has topped 3,000 honor roll selections. Bucknell recorded a League-high 460 student-athletes on the academic honor roll in 2021-22, including 311 during the winter-spring season.
Led by a perfect 4.0 GPA from Per Astrom, the Bison men's tennis squad saw five of its six Honor Roll members also qualify for the Bucknell Dean's List with a GPA of 3.50 or better. One of those was team captain Michael Owen, an economics major who also made the Academic All-Patriot League squad in May.
